I just finished a live training on anxiety, and one of the questions I asked them was to describe in one word, the world around them. This is what they shared...
Scared
Uncertain
Chaos
Dangerous
Stupid
Messed-up
Uncontrollable
Unfair
Lost
I then asked them to consider if the words they shared were applicable to their own lives and that how they saw the world was really a reflection of themselves.
This got them thinking.
I believe it to be true.
And the same for you.
How you experience the world is very much tied up in how you experience your own life. The two go hand in hand.
So, if you want to exchange anxiety for peace, know you have to change the pathways in your brain, otherwise your brain will take you in your thinking process where you have previously trained it to go.
For example, if you perceive the world as not safe, it won't be safe.
If your world is believed to be chaotic and dangerous, it will be chaotic and dangerous.
You get what you believe.
Each time you reinforce a belief, whether positive or negative, you strengthen the brain's neural pathway that it runs on.
Eventually if the belief is reinforced often enough, it will shift into automatic pilot mode and your belief system will become your reality. Just like it did for those struggling in the anxiety seminar.
Know that you don't need to live with anxiety, but you do need to learn how to change the pathway in your brain. If you're ready to do this, let's set up a complementary chat and explore the possibility of what this might look like. Click on this link to get started.
