Season of Transformation

In our lives are different seasons, similar to winter, summer, spring, and fall. 

God uses these seasons to do different things, some of which are pleasurable and others that are not.

Take pruning for example. Have you ever had the hand of God do some pruning in your life?

I know I have and it was not a pleasant experience.

It was long.

It was dark.

I was stripped bare of the "old" me.

But when I came back from the shock and trauma of having been pruned by the hand of God, I was restored to a whole different level, with lots of good new growth and identity.

No longer was I partially dead inside. I was FULLY alive!

The past season of having walked around like an apology was over. I was now authentic and unapologetic. God had hand picked me to be on this earth, at this time and place.

Since that time of pruning in my early forties, life is experienced through a very different set of lenses.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens."

Hebrews 12:11-13 "No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been."

Isaiah 55:8-9 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."
